Introduction
This article advise you about the most relecant parts that a project has to have in this wiki and in general when you want to show an initiative in a open way.
HOME
This field provides a brief project description that introduce the reader to the main features of the project.
A set of aspects can complement the project description:
- Developers:
- Status: beta, stable, ...
- Audience: End users/Desktop, developers
- License: GPL, LGPL, ...
- Operating System: Linux, *BSD, Minix, Windows, ...
- Programming Language: C, C++, Python, Ruby, Perl, ...
- Topic: Networks, Kernel, Mobile Phones, ...
- Translations: English, Spanish, ...
- Registering Date:

DOCUMENTATION
Documentation field contains all documentation related to the project.
This field can have three subfields:
- GENERAL DOCUMENTATION
Documentation about the project suited for every user.
- DEVELOPER DOCUMENTATION
Documentation suited for developers, so they do not have to search over all the information.
- PROJECT KNOWLEDGE BASE
Information not specifically about the project but related to it. E.g: information about utilities used in the project...
NEWS
This fiels shows every interesting item that occurs in the project.
Also old news are stored in an archive which can be accessed from here.
RESOURCES/COMMUNITY
Resources field comprises a set of tools needed for a community to manage the project.

A blog is an interesting way of communication to promote the project and share ideas.

A set of mail addresses or other information needed to contact with project developers and its community.
